WRITERS, POETS AND PAINTERS' APPEAL TO RESPECT THE DIFFERENT
We all respect progress and the science which gives knowledge to the human race. Knowledge can be thought of as a crossroads where people meet to share their experiences. Every single way of expressing oneself is an art and thus a new experience for each and every generation to come. Therefore, there is also something to be found in the works of art of the Slovene paraplegics.
As regards the fine arts, literature, music, as well as the development of the scientific thought, one can not ignore the fact that it is from the most difficult situations that some of the best artists are born.
From the new situations people develop new abilities, through which man's real and direct creativeness comes to light. How should one spend one's own free time, and how should one express the zest for life that lies within us all. We are aware that if nature took this gift away from us our hearts would sink, the ray of hope would disappear and we would wither away like a flower without water. As we all put a part of ourselves into everything we do, whether we are a professional artist or not, an artist who creates with hands, foot or mouth. We give out a piece of ourselves. This process of giving arises from the need for artists to show their feelings and express their fondness for the art, as well as to share at least a little piece of their inner beauty and richness to the people around them.
Culture, in all its forms, is like a living entity itself; on the one hand, it reconciles the artist to the new situations, and is a gradual unveiling of the unknown, and allows a synthesis of the art and the artist to take place. On the other hand it is a mutual voice and its echo, an out-cry and consolation, as it acts as an immediate release, an outpouring into space, moving and disappearing into this air.
In the world that we live and are in direct contact with, there remains a great responsibility of ours to find - among the laws set up by life itself, which follow one another - the point, where the artists' lines, letters, planes and colours come together and have their own rightful place. As only by understanding, learning to be, and by being creative, can the life of hardship and the art inspired by this, from their two separate points, be drawn together, to meet and become one.
