THE PRESIDENT OF THE PARAPLEGICS ASSOCIATION OF SLOVENIA IVAN PERŠAK
Ivan Peršak is the ideal leader of organized Slovenian Paraplegics. He was born on the 11th December 1934 in Moravci by small town Mala Nedelja. A paraplegic he has became on the 2nd December 1959 when he has worked in Serbia and broken his spinal column . Soon after the injury he has with adherents in The Centre for the rehabilitation of the disabled in Ljubljana started to think about the organization of paraplegics in Slovenia. Since the idea till realization have elapsed many years. Finally has on the 16 th April 1969 established the Section of paraplegics and quadriplegics which has soon overgrowed into Federation of paraplegics of Slovenia with nine province Associations.
Ivan Peršak is all these years (with shorter ) the head of the organization which is under his leadership became one of the most workable organizations of disabled in Slovenia. In all fields of activity has reached extraordinary results in benefit of it's members. He has great favours by organizing of paraplegics in other republics of the ex Yugoslavia. That's why Ivan Peršak had been so many times awarded.
