A folk song about nature

Each ENO school had to record one folk song about nature and send it to Finland as mp3 file together with the notes sheets music. We have chosen the song Happy Shepherd that talks about the life of a happy shepherd up in the mountains. A group of girls from grade 8  with the help of our music teacher Jozica sang it and recorded it.

Happy shepherd

A shepherd feels like a king with his curved alpenstock in his hand and a bunch of flowers on his hat. He strolls with his flock of sheep on highlands.

Shepherd is the only one on the sunny highland, so he is the landlord there. He doesn't care about folk's caprices but he lives by his common sense.

He is on no ones way and no one is on his way. No one disturbs his joyful and peaceful life.

His forehead and eyes never get dark. He sings and yodels happily and loudly that he is heard from mountain to mountain.

He wouldn't exchange his alpenstock for a royal sceptre. He prefers flowers to royal crown.

We have chosen this song because it sings about nature which is the theme of theis project. It is also very nice to sing and easy to learn.

Pesem o naravi

Vsaka ENO šola je pripravila zvočni zapis ljudske pesmi na temo narava. Mi smo izbrali pesem Veseli pastir ( Simon Gregorčič), ljudski napev zapisal in priredil Luka Kramolc. Skupina deklet je skupaj s učiteljico glasbe vadila in pesem posnela. Posnetek smo v obliki MP3 poslali skupaj z notnim zapisom na Finsko.
