»Slowind against Wind« is a documentary about the wind quintet Slowind. Its members are excellent soloists of the Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra, who dedicate themselves to performing chamber music. They have established the Slowind Festival, where they perform little known pieces of contemporary music, as well as pieces written at their request. Musical scores often require them to play different instruments, to whistle, clatter, or march up and down the stage. The documentary aims to capture the goings-on in the group during preparations for the tenth festival, their meetings in practice or at garden parties, the production of a book about the quintet entitled »Wind, Wood, Metal«, and also the atmosphere behind the stage at one of their concerts.
