Trip to Central Australia
At the end of November we made trip to the red centre of continent. It
took us a week and we have seen Coober Pedy, Alice Springs and hills around,
Kings Canyon, Ayers Rock and Olgas.
Typical Bogan. Country Jack. Better step away, boy...
And bogans car. Usually there is a big label with guys name on, so you
know which Jack is driving in. (And he can find his car). And also there
should a sticker that says "Pedestrians should be baned from the
roads"
Our crew! 7+Matteo(Germany). We picked him up on Alice Springs airport.
Multi-culti, starting from left: Tong Malesya; Sašo Slovenia; Sebastien
France; Karin Sweden; Andreas Austria; Marie Czech republic; Steve Australia.
Underground camping site in Coober Pedy
Famous sign in Coober Pedy. Very dangerous to walk around at night, because
nobody can find out, in which hole you've fallen.
In the opal mine
Crocodile Harry. Lituanian guy who started in Australia as crocodile hunter.
Then he turned to be womenizer. His cave is full of girls signatures and
there are bras and panties hanging around everywhere.
That is just one piece of wall here.
Standley chasm. West of Alice Springs
Together in chasm.
Karen and View from the top.
Posing in chasm
Our minibus
Serpentine gorge.
Key handover on our hike. We had two squads hiking in opposite direction.
In the middle we met and gave car keys to other group.
Me and landscape around Macdonnell ranges.
Ellery creek big hole. Almost permanent water here.
After refreshing swim.
Trepina gorge.
Karin on the edge of the gorge.
Tong and me. And then nothing for a while. And then about a meter of water,
if you're lucky.
Camel crossing.
Olive pyton in Reptile center. We also peted some other lizards.
Emu. One of better pictures of it.
Together in Kings Canyon.
Nice views. Not for people with vertigo.
A the end of canyon is Garden Of Eden. We jumped in some pools. After
this pool there is cliff and waterfall.
Panoramic picture of canyon. From here you can see the other side (cliff)
of the picture above.
Another pose
Ayers rock with rainbow. Very rare!
Us in front of the Rock at sunset time
Small animation made out of photos at sunrise.
Me on top of the rock.
Panoramic view from the top. Around 200 degrees.
Andreas in helicopter
I found a lizard near Mt. Olga
Into Olga canyon
Another group photo

And for the end panoramic view on Kata Tjuta (Olgas). Very sacred to Aboriginals
(As Ayers rock).
