BrainEcho
Primo¾ Potoènik (2005)

Exploring the potential of neurofeedback and sonic neurotechnology for the research of expanded awareness. The project combines brainwave measurement, scientific signal processing, generation of binaural beats and live interaction of the human mind in a continuous neurofeedback loop.

Brain waves of the person are measured by the EEG method and signals are analyzed in real time by the computer. Based on the brainwave activity (delta, theta, alpha and beta waves), the sonic neurofeedback is generated.

Generated sounds contain audible components that can be used for active neurofeedback, and embedded binaural beats that entrain brain states subconsciously according to the frequency following response.

A complex neurofeedback loop is created. The person's state of mind influences generated sounds. Generated sounds influence the person through the binaural beats, and provide feedback through the audible components.
