Kaj naj vzamem na vožnjo je odvisno predvsem od dolžine izleta in vrste vožnje. Na naslednjih dveh straneh je približno našteto katero orodje naj bi imel s sabo vsak gorski kolesar.

Daljši izleti zahtevajo temeljitejše priprave. Tudi potrebno orodje je obsežnejše.
