PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Step 1
Introductory information about a partner teacher

- names of teachers involved:
- number of children involved:
- e-mail addresses:
- information about your school:
- computer facilities:
- dates of holidays and days off:

Step 2 - details
First children learn about each other:

  • age,
  • place
  • school
  • interests
  • hobbies

Then they:

  • write letters about their favourite toys
  • draw their favourite toys
  • take pictures of their favourite toys
  • make their own toys out of different materials
  • use computers (Paintbrush, Paint it etc…) and draw their toys
  • prepare exhibitions of their work in their school and exchange them with the partner school

The project might be carried out not only through e-mail but also through a regular mail (Please feel free to plan and decide what topic you will cover first. If you want you can make a proposal for the timetable for the others)

Topics that our children are going to discuss:

  • write little riddles about their toys
  • write letters, dialogues or notes about their favourite toys (children try to find as many interesting adjectives as possible to describe their toys)
  • create dialogues about buying a toy and illustrate them
  • write about their opinions
  • make mind maps - label the pictures of their toys (parts of the body, colours, names)
  • create little stories and illustrate them

Because it could be on-going project each school or teacher decides what topic will cover first and how often they will e-mail letters or projects.

Other project outcomes:

  • pictures,
  • audio-video recordings,
  • photographs,
  • home made toys,
  • paintbrush pictures
  • other materials

The deadlines:

It’s on-going project so there are no fixed deadlines. Partner schools may decide upon this themselves.

Step 3

Final stage of the project

  • we will produce a kind of a magazine in which the messages and other works of children will be presented,
  • and we will try to present some of the materials of the project created by students on our home page
