Slovenian Society for Vacuum Technique – DVTS is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the science and technology of vacuum, materials, surfaces, interfaces, thin films, and plasmas, and to providing a variety of educational opportunities.

It was established in 1959. Already first year it initiated the foundation of Yugoslav union of vacuum societies and than it was a very active member of this union. From 1991 we are living in an independent state, Slovenia. Slovenian vacuum society is a member of IUVSTA association (IUVSTA).

President of Slovenian vacuum society is ass. prof. dr. Alenka Vesel (alenka.vesel@ijs.si ).

The annual membership fee is 30 EUR.

The meeting will be followed by IUVSTA workshop on Response of biological materials to plasma treated medium from 12th to 16th March.

Slovenian Society for Vacuum Technique organised JVC16 - 16th Joint Vacuum Conference, EVC14 - 14th European Vacuum Conference and SloCroVM-23 conference in Portorož, Slovenia in June 6-10, 2016. Conference took place at the Bernardin Congress Centre which is located at a tourist resort on the Adriatic coast walking distance from the medieval towns of Piran and the modern seaside resort of Portorož in Slovenia.
