The documentary film unobtrusively follows the life of the National and University Library and, through the work of its staff, tells stories of the remarkable items it keeps.

Its 250-year history has been marked by three disasters: two fires and an earthquake. For the past 80 years, it has proudly housed Plečnik’s grand reading room.
