Safe through the city

This painting was made for a show Alluring at MGLC in Ljubljana. It was made as site speciffic piece with little added soundspeakers behind the canvas. The sound of empty restaurant was mixed with the computer game sound. The illussion of painting in painting is based on historical painting motive, but here flat tv screen illussion is used instead of painting. The scene was taken from the video game Grand Theft Auto mixed with a MTV commercial. painted image looks like video fade beetween two moving images.

Performance CD > piano was also in the room, so there was also a author's performance recorded on a CD and played behind the piano in the time of exhibition. Mix of 2 audio CD were creating an atmosphere of empty restaurant with lonely piano player.

Grand Addiction

home and getting ready to go to sleep. i have a dirty confession to make...oh boy, this hurts... my confession is...is...
that i have a small addiction to 'grand theft auto 3'. someone was playing it on the bus and i had a go, and now i'm kind of addicted. it is like crack.i will break the habit. i can do it. i know i can. i don't even like the actual game that much (all of the little tasks can get a bit tedious...). but driving around and hitting cop cars and gettingthem to chase you and going out in a ball of fire and a hail of bullets is kind of addictive. sorry. maybe it's the speed. or the car crashes. whatever, it's very addictive.

the semi is the best. stealing the semi and driving over other cars is very satisfying. i never knew that the heart of a monster truck enthusiast was beating inside my little vegan body.

ok, enough about my addiction.
time for sleep.
hopefully i won't dream about misty standing by the clinic...
