Paintings as Screens

"... Vrabič's images (exhibited are Selected Screens, 1997; Diamond's Doubts, 1997; and A night Drive, 1997) are based on fragments taped from television and consciously evoke the use of the heterogenic field and imagery of mass media in painting (Rosenquist, Salle, Rauschenberg)..."

"...Vrabičeve slike (razstavljena so dela Izbrani ekrani, 1997, Sanje diamanta, 1997, in Nočna vožnja, 1997) izhajajo iz fragmentov, posnetih s televizijskega zaslona, in zavestno evocirajo tradicijo rabe heterogenega polja in podobja množičnih medijev v slikarstvu (Rosenquist, Salle, Rauschenberg)..."
