POGLEDI LOOKS

People very easily evaluate the events with historical or geographical distance. We can comfortably decide upon who is 'good' or who is 'bad' and definitely we can swear that this could never happen here and now. And maybe we even really believe it.

However, we do not have to go far to find evidence that not everything is how it seems. These Things happen everyday and in all parts of the world. Also, here and now.

Until we learn this lesson, the events from history and distant lands remain just events from historical textbooks and daily news. It does not happen to 'us'. So, if we do not recognise this connection, we could be facing a similar phenomenon in front of our eyes and we will not be able to acknowledge it. Maybe we might be even actively engaged in it on either side.

In different situations the project LOOKS appears in slightly modified forms. It especially adapts to the situation in order to expose specific and simultaneously general problems with in the model of 'we' vs. 'them'.

The European day of Jewish culture allows the opportunity to display this project in Ljubljana. The looks from facades have been contributed by people of different nationalities, beliefs, religions and sexual orientations.
