Later on she joined a group called Aries, where her love for jazz evolved, which can be perceived in her interpretations even today. Afterwards in her career she recorded a whole album of standard jazz songs, translated to Slovenian. The album had a significant title Damjana & Ljubljana Jazz Selection. |
As she is a trained educator, she can not do without children. Experience from her own musical kindergarden led to recording a casette, wich helps children to learn to sing, with Slovenian juvenile folk songs. Recently her interest in this area was revoked and she recorded albums Muzikalcek and Muzikalckov zaklad. The latter is accompanying her efforts in children's musical with the same name.
She loves to perform live, which I can tell from experience, as she used to performs with Ansambel ShOcK, the band I work for. Besides, her husband, bass guitarist, is part of that band.
As Damjana sings mostly in Slovenian (except live), her (and mine) mother tongue, there is hardly much more to tell. So just for the taste of it, here are covers of so far not mentioned albums:

Lately she decided to dedicate her work to children. She sings and records with them. ![]() (p) & (c) 2001![]() image and design of title page: Igor Ribic (c) Drustvo Muzikalcek 2004 |
