PHOTOGRAPHIC COLLECTION OF JOSIP PELIKAN
A special photographic acquisition within the museum is the inheritance
of a Slovenian photographer from Celje. He left us rich, documentary records
from his life in Celje, from 1919-1977. The collection comprises original,
different format photographs and negatives as well as glass plates. His
work can be divided into studio portraits, mountain landscape photography
and industrial photography. He presents Health Spas, such as Rogaška Slatina,
Dobrna, Rimske Toplice, and with a great deal of inspiration, he shows
us Celje and his cycle "Life and Events" between 1919-1977. The richness
of his inheritance lies in his quality of work and the quantity of documentary
material he amassed. |
