DESIGNING OF SACRAL SPACE WITH TRADITIONAL ELEMENTS OF PROFANE ARCHITECTURE AS INFORMATION INTERLACE

There are places where family members continue gathering for a meal as if it where the ritual with which the members expressed their belonging to a group. Their ritual may be compared with the offering during a church service. In this way, the awareness of pertaining to a community is transferred from one sphere of life to another, from the hearth to the offering altar and vice versa.

The desire to belong to a community has been the inspiration in the making of a country home. Throughout history, and occasionally throughout the present day as well, skilful individuals have build religious buildings even if the Church has usually relied on the masters from abroad.

The preservation of architectural heritage, the desire of middle-aged and elderly people to move into a renovated country home in the midst of a quiet rural area and to rejoice in wooden constructions of religious buildings typical of the period following the Second Vatican Council show that at least part of the traditional knowledge will be preserved in the coming millennium.
