DISTENDED CABINET

For the Cabinet Irena Romih has prepared a spatial installation, which derived from the characteristics of this remote space. The title intended to be a description of a feeling she attempted to arouse by means of forms arching into space. With strips of plywood, she wove tense forms. They arouse associations of cocoons, bloated bellies, something that expands and overcomes space. The compressed, black, chamber space of the Cabinet was the perfect breeding ground for this.
