 | Railway Transport Almost every
town in Slovenia can be reached by train. International train connections are also good.
The most important passenger trains are: the Eurocity Mimara linking Ljubljana with
Germany and Italy, the IC Kras and the IC Green trains.

A green card (international vehicle insurance) must be carried by
all foreign drivers on their entry into Slovenia, with the exception of those from
countries with which Slovenia has a special agreement. Foreign citizens without a green
card may obtain short-term insurance in Slovenia (52 DEM for 15 days, 75 DEM for 30 days).

 | Speed Limits, Safety Belts, Headlights Motorways (green signs) 130 km/h, main roads (blue signs) 100 km/h, other
roads 90 km/h, in built-up areas 50 km/h. Safety belts must be fastened, including the
ones on the back seats if installed. Main headlights low beam (not just the position
lights) must be on at all times while driving, even in broad daylight.
