Bela krajina is mainly a karstic area between the Gorjanci, the Koèevski rog and the Kolpa. It lies in the southeast Slovenia and includes not just Bela krajina karstic plain but also the nearest margin of the Kočevski rog and the Gorjanci. The main part in settling and economy had openness toward pannonian area and reticency toward the rest of Slovenia parts. Characteristics of these places on the sunny side of the Gorjanci are pannonic and karstic outlines which are important for folk customs, weather and dialect.
