The project will propose changes in the ongoing practice in teaching and learning in certain subjects within a curriculum in techical vocational schools. The purifying plant for waste water treatment will be designed, built and put into operation. The system will be based on a micro-controller, which operation is a part of the curriculum already. The system will be connected to a remote PC, thus enablig the correction of the parameters and possible reaction to the parameters exceeding the limits set.
The work for the project will be a part of the experimental interdisciplinary curriculum held at all partner schools. This will enable better chances for the students to enter common European labour market. Students will be working in teams. Together with their peers from partner schools and English will be issued. The library of all the software used for operating the purifying plant device and a promotional CD-ROM will be published. The web page with the innovative outcomes of the project will be made.
Teachers, students and other partners will also be involved in the evaluation of the process itself. Evaluation of the innovative method and assessment in the vocational training will be done with the help of a questionnaire, evaluation reports and testing of the operation of the purifying plant.
All the partners will be actively involved in the dissemination and exploitation of results during and after the project. New teaching and learning materials will be published in electronic versions and in a hard copy. Copies will be distributed among the interested public teachers' study meetings and international conferences (MIRK). Partners from the local industry will also be presented with the outcomes of the project.
