Pinguicula alpina 'Deep Purple', new cultivar

Alpine bladderworts in Slovenia have leaver of different colors. From green to reddish an only in one small location in Central Slovenia there is a small population with deep purple leaves. From that population I took some plants in the end of 80's and selected a cultivar with a name 'Deep Purple' according to unique color of the leaves.

Purple plant in habitat

Cultivated plants must be protected agains black birds, they use red parts as material for nest and european robins and great tits as they found easy catchable food on leaves of this plant.
