Educational, employment and travelling possibilities in European Union
Lithuania, Poland and Slovenia entered the European Union at the same time therefore the main questions raise: What did the countries obtain by entering? What are the advantages for the future, especially for the young people? At the project meeting in Vilnius in autumn the partners arrived at an agreement that each of us should study a part of European system and exchange the findings. The fields to be explored were as follows:
Trying to find out as many information as we could on the above mentioned issues, each of the partners visited their respective Europe Centers: the Slovenians visited one in Ljubljana, the Polish went to Krakow and the Lithuanians Vilnius. Each school had their own field: the Lithuanians employment, the Polish education and the Slovenians were researching the possibilities for travelling. The findings were discussed via video conference. At the April meeting in Jaworzno the research was summarised and the agreement was achieved to produce three independent brochures (Lithuanian, Polish and Slovenian) where the course and the results of the research and the entire three-year project were introduced.
Three-year project work ended. The actual research work has been approached and practised, the issues common to the three partners have been studied and the advantages from entering EU have been found. The project itself could influence the future lives of our students which is yet to be seen in a few years. Adding to the personal growth of every participant was learning about cultural, national and historical distinctive features of respective countries. This year we admired the beauties of the Lithuanian countryside and the hustle and bustle of the capital Vilnius. |
