Hassan was a young man who came to England to learn engineering. He learnt all about building , so he wanted to work on a new bridge - Khabur Bridge - in his country in the Middle .
One day before flying home men kidnapped him in the street and drove him away in a red . Luckily a police inspector Holt and his Bill Ojo saw that. They rescued Hassan, but they did not the kidnappers.
At the police station Hassan told everything about his family. His father was a very rich man - Sheik Rahman. He wanted inspector Holt and Bill to come to his country and find the .
When they arrived there, they Sheik Rahman, his man Ahmed and captain Salem. The next day Ahmed took Holt and Bill to the Khabur Bridge, where Hassan worked. On their way there they had an and met Mr. Kossoff, a businessman, who offered them a lift to the bridge. There Holt and Bill wanted to speak with the Chief Engineer - Scott and Hassan. He wasn't there, because Kossoff's men kept him in a on the hill where two men were watching him. They kidnapped Hassan, because he found out that there was a lot with the bridge. It would fall down as soon as the train would go over it. If the worked, Mr. Kossoff would lose his job, too. Inspector Holt, Bill, Salem and his men rescued Hassan.
Khabur Bridge fell into to the river when the train with Holt, Bill, Kossoff, Salem and Scott reached the middle of the bridge. Everyone but Kossoff .
