On this exposure from 011524 - 012622 UT on August 11/12, 2001 a -1 magnitude Perseid appeared at 011901. Lens 58-mm, film Fuji 800. The brightest star to the upper left of the meteor is 50 Cassiopeiae. If you click the picture, you will notice a sign of a strong wind push in brighter star trails. 30 minutes later an even stronger wind shock that just knocked my camera with tripod. I have been actively observing meteors since the Perseids 1993. Since then I have recorded more than 25000 meteors and sent their data to International Meteor Organization IMO. I am also a member of American Meteor Society and North American Meteor Network. As the meteors are my most active field in astronomy, most of the articles I wrote are on meteors.
I have attended International Meteor Conferences since 2000 and you can see photo galleries below:
Since 1997 I collect and process meteor observation data from members of MBK Team, a meteor observing section of Astronomical Society Orion and send them to IMO.
