The classical Gabrielli Palace, built in the middle of the 19th century, stands on the south-east side of the inner harbour of Piran. The water reflects the classical elements of the façade, its marked central axis and the rounded south wing. The palace is seen best from the sea to the south-west, but offers a beautiful view also from Tartini Square and from the parish church of St. George to the north. Still unfinished, the north wing of the palace reduces the effect of the central axis with its sobering classical ornaments.
A columned stone staircase decorates the inside of the palace as does an original painting and stucco on the first floor, called "primo piano nobile".
