She was born in 1965 in Celje. In 1990 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. Her professor was Emerik Bernard. She persuaded graduate studies with professor Metka Krašovec. From 1990 to 1994 she worked as a designer at the glass factory Rogaška. She also did packaging design and received several awards for this.

As a freelance artist she has been working with painting, design and book illustration since 1996.
