1kg of flour
12dag of sugar
15dag of butter
1/2l of milk
lemon peel
a pinch of salt
3 eggs
5 dag of yeast
First mix 5dag of yeast, 6 spoonfuls of milk, 1 spoonful of sugar, 4 spoonfuls of flour. Mix the remainder of flour with salt and lemon peel then add butter, sugar, eggs, yeast and milk and mix it into dough and let it rise. Use 2/3 of the doughand spread it, then make 4 straps which are used to make a braid. Place it on a baking tin. The remainder of the dough is used for 4 smaller straps make into a braid, and then placed on the bigger braid. In the end make a very thin braid from the 2 straps. Place it on the top of everything. Let it rise for a while and then cover it with a beaten egg. Bake it for 1 hour.
