Nataša Prosenc
Nataša Prosenc se je rodila v Ljubljani. Leta 1990 je diplomirala na Akademiji za likovno umetnost v Ljubljani. Sodelovala je na video in filmskih festivalih v Sloveniji in tujini, imela pa je tudi razstave video instalacij. Režirala je več dokumentarnih in kratkih filmov.

Prosenčeva je zastopala Slovenijo na letošnjem Bienallu v Benetkah. Trenutno živi in dela v Los Angelesu in Ljubljani.

SREČANJE, video-instalacija, 1999, novo delo za razstavo »very private«
»Videoinstalacija »Srečanje« je diptih, sestavljen iz dveh gibljivih slik, ki uprizarjata odnos med: A-privatnim, intimnim, posameznim, notranjim, erotičnim, prvinskim,
svobodnim, nekontroliranim in B-občim, splošnim, urejenim, zunanjim, predvidljivim, hladnim. Tema obeh je telo: A-koza, svobodno, nepredvidljivo, nekontrolirano gibanje in B-sence teles, odsevi, urejen ritem. Vizualizacija: A-ekstremni close-upi telesa v gibanju na belem ozadju, ki zaradi specifične osvetljave in montaže spomnijajo na plamene (barvna skala topla: oranžna, rumena, rjava); B-celopostavne figure ljudi na izsušenih puščavskih tleh, ki delujejo šablonsko oziroma shematizirano, ker nikoli ni videti vira sence (preganjajo se na levo in desno po ekranu in so obrnjene na glavo; barvna skala: hladna: drap, siva). Zvok: A-ogenj, B-stopinje, koraki.«(Nataša Prosenc)

  2. Natasa Prosenc was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and graduated in 1990 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. She participated in video and film festivals in Slovenia  and abroad, and held numerous video-installation exhibitions. She also directed documentaries and short films. Prosenc represented Slovenia at the 1999 Venice Biennial. Currently she lives and works in Los Angeles and Ljubljana.

  4. ENCOUNTER, video installation, made especially for the »very private« exhibition, 1999

The video installation Encounter is a diptych composed of two moving images, which depict the relationship between two elements: A – the private, intimate, individual, innate, erotic, elemental, free, uncontrolled; and B – the general, common, ordered, external, predictable, cold. Both parts speak about the body: A – the skin; free, unpredictable, uncontrolled movement; B – shadows of the body, reflections, ordered rhythm. Visualisation: A – extreme close-ups of the body in motion against the white background, which – because of specific light and editing – remind of flames (warm colours: orange, yellow, brown); B – entire human figures on dried-out desert grounds, which function schematic, or pattern-like, since we never see the source of shadows (the figures rush here and there on the screen, and they are turned upside-down; cool colours: ochre, grey). Sound: A – fire; B – steps and paces.
