SHORT BIO:

Born in 1960, he is an artist, curator and artistic director of the P74 Centre and Gallery, based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He graduated from the Ethnology and History of Art at the University in Ljubljana, graduated with a degree in painting and postgraduate in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Ljubljana. From 1994 to 1999 he was a chief editor of the M'ARS magazine, a leading Slovenian magazine for contemporary art. He is a founder and director of the P. A. R. A. S. I. T. E. Museum of Contemporary Art, a virtual critical formation established in 1993.

He has exhibited widely, including at the 10th Istanbul Biennial (2007), the San Francisco Art Institute (2007), the 49th São Paulo Biennial (2006), MAC/VAL – Musée d’art contemporain de Val-de-Marne, Paris (2006), NGBK in Berlin, the 3rd Tirana Biennial (2005), 3rd Tirana Biennial, 49th Venice Biennial (2001), ZKM in Karlsruhe, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Museo de Arte Carillo Gil in Mexico City, the Central House of Artists in Moscow, Manifesta 1 - Rotterdam. He received a Franklin Furnace Grant in 2001, a Shrinking Cities Grant in 2004 and TREND award for visual art in 2007.
