Holidays in Mladinski Klub Nade Žagar

It all began on Sunday, 14.02.1999 with a ska concert with Elvis Jackson and Edna`s Goldfish performing. We danced and danced and then went home to rest for monday.

On Monday, 15.02.1999, we gathered at 14.00h to clean up and prepare everything for the start of uor great programme. By 17.00h everything was set up and we began to make our candles as that was a part of the programme. Boys and girls from the neighbourhood came and together we made some real works of art. Probably the most extreme candle was made by Abram and Klemen. They called it THE METAL CANDLE.

In the evening we have, although with a small participation, wiewed a great moovie Devil`s attorney. We prepared the video-top and connected the sound to the club speakers, which contributed to surround effect. The only bad thing was that there were no visitors (OK, two). But we still had a nice time.

On Tuesday at 10 am we have started to make our own masks. We have watched the movies from Sokolski Dom production. We had all the material to make our masks from that we could think of, so we made a few real good costumes. We can also praise that we have had quite a few visitors. Thay deserve a medal.

We decided to go for a walk in our masks in the afternoon. We made a nice circle and we had our radio and caravan with us. We were the kings, queens, samurais, boxes, TVs, nuns,…We ran into Babo at least six times. But he was so good that he blew his car trumpet every time.

In the evening we performed the already announced masked ball. But it all turned out a bit different than we expected. We were again disappointed over the small participation. The music was great. We drank BOWLA (red wine with sliced fruit in it -GREAT) that Pino and Sebo Isjra made. We all went to bed tired as hell.

Wednesday came and with it our first workshop. Out theme: TOLERANCE AND DIFFERENCE. Standard - only the organizers and other members of the. It was nice.

In the evening the movie Romper stomper was played. A movie about the Australian skinheads. Great. Because the sudience was so interested - there was about 10 people - we watched another movie: A dish called Wanda. We locked the doors and went to dreamland.

The last day, Thursday. The workshop was excellent: COMUNICATION. The games were quite amusing. And in the evening a Spike Lee movie followed: Malcolm X. Spike Lee`s damn good.

Another concert was on Friday. Quatroriti and Hladno Pivo. OK

And so we successfully concluded our. We had a nice time. The people who didn´t come, don`t know what they have missed!
