Instructions for dough:
- put the flour in a warm place
- put yeast into a warm cup and add 2-3 spoons flour, 1 spoon of sugar
and some milk until it becomes thick
- put it in a warm place and let it rise
- while the dough is rising, beat ( in a bowl) milk, yolks, sugar,
salt, grated lemon or orange peel, that remained in the cup and warm
it up
- add melted butter or oil and rum into mixture and pour everything
slowly into the flour with the yeast
- knead the dough together until it is smooth (picture 2)
- cover it with a warm piece of cloth and leave it to rise (picture
3)
- after half an hour knead the dough again, cover it and let it rise
again
- when the dough has risen sprinkle some flour on the board table,
roll out the dough into a square shape until the dough is one cm thick
and spread the filling evenly on the dough (picture5)
- begin to roll the dough tightly with fingers
- grease a cake-mould and
- put the "potica" into it (picture 6)
- let it rise for another 20-30 minutes
- warm the oven up to 150 C
- after 20-30 min. put into oven and bake for one hour until golden
brown (picture 7/8)
