SLOVENE
TEACHER EXCHANGES
2nd year - 2000 / 2001
Miss Nadja Cernetic - Olyckeskolan, Loberod,
Sweden
|
I teach grade one at one of the Pivka branch schools. I wanted
to improve my methods of teaching young learners and get a look
at the expanded hours in the
9-year system and how they work. I was especially interested
in their traditions and customs. I assisted in the lessons and
accompanied the children in their day to day activities. I presented
our country and school to them.
|
A moment of relaxation after a hard day's work. We sang
some Swedish and Slovene songs accompanied by the guitar.
Nature plays an important role in education. Pupils have lessons outdoors
as well. This way they learn to preserve the flora and fauna around
them.
FOREIGN TEACHERS AT
PRIMARY SCHOOL PIVKA
Mrs. Kerstin Holmstrom from Loberod,
Sweden
|
Kerstin is a computer wizard. She wanted to see Slovenia of
which she has heard so much. She taught all the classes and
succeeded in making a link with our last year's 7.a class. They
prepared articles about some of the most beautiful sights in
Slovenia and she put them on their homepage.

branch school in Zagorje.
The articles about Slovenia written by our 7.a class were put on the
Swedish web site and can be found at URL: www.skolan.eslov.se/lycke/lycke.html
under the heading Amusing Views.
Mrs. Vita Jasiene from Druskininki,
Lithuania
|
She wanted to see if our pupils are any different from
theirs. She only speaks a few words of English, but that didn't
stop her from coming to our country. She teaches art and taught
our pupils an old traditional art called 'cuttings'. Our pupils'
work was displayed at our school and in Lithuania. She also displayed
her masterpieces at the public library in Postojna.

Our pupils' works displayed in our school library.
