In the seed activity each school sent a seed or root sample of a plant or flower that is commonly found in that country to each participating school accompanied by a full description of the plant, with pictures and instructions showing how and when to plant it. The school that received the seed, planted it, observed its growth and sent information back to the sender school about its development.
