International Friendship Day 2002 (3/4/2002) Friendship Quilt

We decided to
participate in the Friendship Quilt Project coordinated by Canberra
Secondary School from Singapore. A group of students grade 8 and their teacher of
English from Solkan Primary School will work on it in April together withn the kids all
over the world. |
A bout the project
The 5 quilts will be sent
out to the first 5 schools by the second week of April. The schools can spend about 1-2
weeks to add on to the quilt and then send them back to Canberra school.
Then they will continue to
send the quilts out to the other schools on the list.
An update will be provided
on the project webpage with a photo gallery of the quilts.
There are no hard and fast
rules about how many pieces you may want to add. Its up to each school to decide. They can
add anything of relevance to the theme of friendship, and include the name of the school,
the school symbol, a badge, names of students, messages of friendship etc.
