OUR STUDENTS'
IMPRESSIONS
The visit of students from Denmark was one of unforgettable events, because I met a good friend.
Before Danish pupils came to Slovenia, I was a little nervous how all together will finish.
But when I saw Kristine for the first time, I knew that everything will be okay, because we became good friends right away, and at home we had a lot of fun together. Maybe I regret only that I didn't speak with all Danish students. Anyway, next year we will go to Denmark and we will meet Danish pupils again!

Last week twenty Danish students were in Slovenia at our school. It was very interesting to meet them because we found new friends. We were on a lot of trips and it was great fun. We had the best time on our trip to Lake Bled and Ljubljana. We were joking and having a good time. Ljubljana was very interesting for them and they were asking about it all the time. We were happy because we were able to talk. At the beginning we couldn`t talk just like that because we were afraid of each other. They were really great and I was very sad when they went home. I`m sad still now because I miss them.
It was really, really fun and I can`t wait until September when we are going to Denmark.

Last week we had a visit from Denmark. Twenty Danish pupils came to stay at our homes. It was very funny and interesting. When they first came from the bus we and they were a little afraid of each other. I saw my pen friend Jeppe very soon because I saw his photo not long ago. I went to him, I introduced myself. Very soon we began to speak with each other and realized that it is not difficult to speak in English. Trips were very nice. We talked a lot. They were very friendly and happy.
I really miss them. That week was too short. I hope that they enyojed themselves in our country and that we will stay friends for ever.

On the first
day when they came out of
the bus, I was very nervous
but at the
same time very happy. I was looking
for Ibina and then
I saw her. She was a really
nice girl on the first look.
I gave her a bunch of traditional Slovenian plants: rosemary and carnation.
Then we went
to school. There I saw very friendly Danish faces but at
that time I
didn't know that we would become really good friends.
And »boom« like a bomb there was Saturday. Ibina and Amelie
were packing and
I was just looking at them.
In my heart there was a very bad feeling. Then
my father
drove us to school. They went on the bus and I started to cry, everybody cried. Then I looked
on the bus, and saw that
my good danish
friends were smiling at me.

We were just waiting for 16th April 2007. This was the day
when the Danish visitors came. The reception was very good, the Danes were surprised.
On Tuesday we were at school. In the gym hall we had a welcome performance. We
were divided into two international groups. Then we had geography, linguistic
and sports lessons. In the afternoon we had a beekeeping workshop, a cooking workshop and dancing classes (we
learned how to dance polka). After that we went to the

When the Danish came I was a little kept back but with days when we got to know them better, we become good friends. We travelled a lot and saw many interesting things. In that week I liked Friday the most because on that day we talked with them the most and found out even more things about them.

On Monday
16th April I met a lot of people who later became my friends.
That week was a great experience for me and for the Danish
students, because they and I learned a lot of English words and we overcame the
fear. That week will stay in my memory all life. I can’t wait for our visit in

Slovenia
is a beautiful country the Danish
students said. It's green and very hot.
We like it here.
I remember that because I asked Emilie,
my guest. We often tried to have a conversation. It did work sometimes and we
had a very lovely time.
The first day was a little bit
rough. But we enjoyed evrey second of
the second day
when we went on Bled.
The weather was great so we
also visited Ljubljana. The Danish students bought a lot,
we never buy so many things. Olander who we called ORHIDEJA bought himself some shoes. They went to Karst
the following day, so on that day we didn't see them a lot. But we had some fun
at night.????????? Don't say anything! On Friday I had a dance competition so I
didn't go with them. I regret that I didn't go with the rest of the students on
that walk and I'll regret it always.
Let's not say anything of Saturday because it was sad. I creed when they left
and when I cleaned after them..
But it will be always a good memory for ever!

All my friends
and I couldn't wait for one day......This day was
16th of
April...because on that day our Danish
friends came tous. They ate, slept and lived
with us.
On Monday at 5pm they came to Dobravlje. All of us were waiting in front of
the school. Suddenly we saw the bus.We were very excited because we finally saw our Danish friends. When they came down from the bus, each of us went to his friend. Then we went to school where each of them got something about Slovenia. Then our and their teachers said a few words and after that we showed them our school. Next day we came back to school. There we did many different things. First we had a greeting performance in the gym hall and then we went to different classes because we were in different groups. We had different activities. Our geography teacher told something about Slovenia,we were learning words in Danish and they learnt them in Slovene,we danced polka, ,made potica and learned about bees.
On the next day they went to Bled and Ljubljana.
And on Thursday only the Danish kids went to the Postojna cave, Lipica and to Vipava. First we didn't speak a lot, but after some time we became very good friends. We talked about school, music, movies, our hobbies, animals, Denmark and about Slovenia. On Friday we went to Gora for a walk, they were very happy because in Denmark they haven't got such high mountains. After that we had lunch and we had a good time.
In the evening we went back to school because we had a farewell party. There we were dancing, singing and watching a slideshow of photos of the whole week. When we were watching fotos which our teachers took,we were very happy because we spent that week together, but we were sad too because we knew that next day our Danish friends had to go back home. At the end we ate delicious chocolate cake with names of all Danish friends. We talked a lot in the last few days.We discussed what we will doing when we visit Denmark and what we will do when we are alone again. And next day it was Saturday. We all thought that yesterday was Monday when they came to Slovenia but it wasn't.It was Saturday and Danish friends went back home. Some of us were crying but all of us were sad.
I think that we will all send e-mails to our friends and that no one will forget this week in his whole life.

When they came to Dobravlje I was very happy!
They were very nice and
sweet. They looked just a little
different from us. I don`t know
why but I think it is because they come from
a different region. Maria and I had been writing a lot of letters
before they came to Slovenia. So we didn`t have
a problem with connection.
I think so. When we came home, my family
said hello to her and then
we went into
my room.
I was so
happy that Maria was sleeping in my home! Next day was
very boring but we had
a great time later when we came
home. In Selo we were playing basketball with Julie, Nilolaj, Mitja, Jerneja, Luka, Blaž, Maria, Žan… We were
having a great time! The trip
to Lake Bled was very interesting and romantic. When we came home, we
were very tired, so we just
ate the dinner
and went to bed! We were so tired! On Friday I and Maria were together all the
time because we were very
sad. That was their last day in Slovenia. We were
talking all the time! When
we came home, we went to the
place where we played basketball. But not on that day! On that day
we were playing
with water balons! I will never forget those
moments and Maria neither! The boys
and girls who were playing
with Maria, Julie and Nikolaj, were much friendlier with them! I don`t
know about Julie and Nikolaj but Maria is missing that time when we
were together more than the Slovenian
school and the trip to Lake Bled!
I MISS HER SO MUCH AND I HOPE THAT SHE AND HER MUM WILL COME HERE IN SUMMERTIME!!!
