Rockfield Software and
C3M have decided to develop a direct interface between Rockfield's FEM-based
simulation programme Elfen
and Inverse. Elfen will so become the first simulation programme that will
be directly integrated with Inverse.
The common package will be primarily used for solving inverse and optimization problems within research projects involving both C3M and Rockfield. These problems are mainly related to material forming.
The first step of integration will take place in November 1999 when
C3M and Rockfield developers will prepare the prototype of integrated programme
in Swansea. The responsible persons are Igor
Gresovnik and Damjan
Jelovsek in C3M and Martin Dutko in Rockfield.
