ULTRALIGHT SAILPLANE<>

GUPPY is an ultralight sailplane. The construction methods are simple and cheap. The main purpose of this sailplane is soaring near home airfield, but also short distance flying is possible if conditions are proper.
Glide angle: aprox 1:28
Materials: Composite, carbon rods, aluminum tube, plywood and styrofoam.
How is it build?

WING: is made from styrofoam core covered with plywood skin. Wingspar can be made from wood or from composite carbon rods.
VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL TAIL: are made similar as wing.
POD AND BOOM FUSELAGE: pod is build laminating the glas fabric around positive plug carved from styrofoam and wrapped in packing tape in order for easier removing the used plug from finished pod.
BOOM: 5" aluminum 6061 tube.
