Sensors

The wind tunnel is designed for physical measurement of air resistance. To download the main information about model (car, plane, Boliden, aerodynamic body) in a measurable value, we need sensors, which gets certain information.  These are then empirically evaluate and determine the appropriate physical coefficients. Our system was designed to measure forces in two coordinates. The first design of the transfer of forces from air resistance model to sensors is designed Matic Medvesek from G3a.During the winter holidays in 2013 we visited to this end the Department of Physics, Faculty of Education in Ljubljana.  We looked at a classic device for the transfer of the force resistance . The system should exploit the gyroscopic principle of transmission of force to the actuating mechanism at force sensor.

For the friendliness and hospitality we thank dr. Mojca Cepic and Mr Goran Iskricu (Faculty of Education Ljubljana).

The first idea - Transfer draft sensors forces.
Constructed and drew Matic Medvesek.

We also take advantage of an invitation from the company Dewesoft Trbovelj and watched their components and accessories for the precise measurement in aerospace engineering.

We thank Dr. Jure Knez that responded to our request and Mr Bernard Jerman and Marko Smit for a nice reception and interesting presentation.

Finally, we find a completely original solution. The system was equipped with two sensors, which are connected to each other.

We also measured air flow rate through the measuring chamber with an electronic anemometer.
