Količino lahko izraziš s temi besedami.

UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS / NEŠTEVNI SAMOSTALNIKI:

Vprašanje:          How much food is left?

We haven't got any milk.
There's no cheese left.
We haven't got much money.
There's a little / a bit of bread.
There's a lot of  butter.

COUNTABLE NOUNS / ŠTEVNI SAMOSTALNIKI:

Vprašanje:            How many things did you buy?

I didn't get any books.
I got no cassettes.
I bought a few pencils.
I didn't buy many presents.
I bought a lot of things to eat.

Za primerjanje količin lahko uporabiš tele izraze.

I don't get as much pocket money as John.
I haven't got  as many books as William.
He gets more than me.
Susie gets (the) most.

S temi besedami lahko izraziš svoje mnenje o količini.

Zgledi:  
            Is there enough bread or shall I buy some more?
            There's too much salt in the soup. It's horrible! (neštevni samostalniki)
            There are too many potatoes. I can't eat them all. (števni samostalniki)
