| Getting Started: Transfers | |
Once you have connected to an FTP site, you are ready to begin transferring files between your Local System and the Remote System you are connected to. These transfers are divided into two categories, uploads and downloads.
If you are transferring files from your computer to the FTP site, it is called an upload. If you are copying files from the FTP site to a folder on your computer, it is called a download.
Between the two panes are two arrows that execute the transfers.

Select a file in the Remote System pane and click the top button to download the file to the folder shown in your Local System. |

Select a file in the Local System pane and click the bottom button to upload the file to the folder shown in the Remote System. |
