Many FTP sites require a valid username/User Id and password to connect. These are usually accounts that were made for you by the owner or 'administrator' of the FTP site.

This information should have been supplied to you when you created the account, so you should contact the site administrator if you are unable to connect to an FTP site because you don't have a username or password.
