Abstract
The article presents plans connected with the new School Act between the years 1919 and 1929, reactions from Slovenian teachers, teachers' proposals regarding the school calendar, orders issued by the Ministry of Education and other school authorities relating to the school calendar, and articles on this topic published in the Slovenian educational press of the time.
