3. The struggle with pollution
Pupils defined the dangerous environmental problems in their school area and region. They looked for evidence of pollution and photographed it. Three photos accompanied by a short comment were e-mailed to each school, where they were collected forming a Newsletter on pollution in European countries. To make this a bit easier for the children, we concentrated on littering on the school premises, playground and local region. Pupils also investigated public dumping grounds to see how they have affected their local community.
Representative pupils from the participating schools presented the problem of pollution in their regions to the pupils at Tiistilän koulu School in Finland during the second project meeting there.
