4. My Favourite Place in Nature
Most young people have their favourite place where they can contemplate and be themselves, a place where they can relax and enjoy the beauty around them, a get-away that allows them to escape from the noisy cities. Many times this place is somewhere in nature.
Pupils shared their favourite place in nature with their peers in the participating schools. The older pupils photographed their favourite place accompanied by a short comment.
Example:
My name is Max. I'm 14. My favourite place in nature is the forest behind our house, because I can take a walk there when I feel frustrated or if I want to be by myself.)
The short comment was written in English and in the language of the country.
Younger children made drawings of their favourite place. Each school sent 3 sides (A4) pages of photos(+ comments) and or drawings to each school, so that each school got 8 X 3 = 24 pages of material, which it connected making an album of favourite places that young people visit. A few were also added to the website.
