Colour My World is a project about the environment. Without a clean and healthy environment our children will not have a bright future ahead of them. Some of the main aims of the project include making pupils aware of environmental problems in their own community and learning how to tackle them; sharing and comparing information about the environment with one another and working together as European citizens in finding joint solutions to the environmental problems at hand.
During the project we learned a lot about nature, how it is important for our survival and that if we don't take care of it, it will certainly not take care of us. We learned about each other's countries, regions and cultures, and tried to develop a sense of tolerance for people of different nations. The pupils and teachers involved in the project got a glimpse of the different and less-known European languages. Pupils' creativity, self-esteem and confidence were motivated which has led to a sense of self-achievement.
