PROJECT MEETING IN FINLAND
Our second project meeting took place from 7th – 11th May, 2008 at Tiistilän koulu School in Espoo, Finland. It was attended by myself, Magdalena Bobek and our history teacher, Urška Bubniè. This meeting was very special because representative pupils from each participating school joined us as well. The two students from Osnovna sola Pivka were Miljana Malinoviæ (13) and Ana Zafran (13), both 8th class pupils. All the pupils had to opportunity to present their schools and the pollution problem to the pupils from the Finnish school. They focused on littering on the school and local grounds as well as the larger region in each country.
Tiistilän koulu School:
Tiistilän koulu school is quite big with a total of about 358 pupils from 6-12 years of age and is situated in a very nice and peaceful area. The Finnish love bright colours which can be seen throughout the whole school. Even the lights are turned on more or less all day. In the middle of the school there is a special 'green' area surrounded by glass and without a roof which is dedicated to special presentations and performances. You can see how they have let nature into their world.
