THE CULTURAL PROGRAMME

We ended the day with a cultural programme featuring two very well-known players from the Slovenian national handball team, Ognjen Backovic and Dusan Podpecan.
We started the programme with the singing of both the Slovenian and Europena hymns, followed by an interview of the guests.
Since this year is the year of education through sports, we thought it would be a good idea to see how values come first in sports, how it is important to respect everyone playing, even the players from the oposing team. As both players said '… tolerance, solidarity, equality are all very important if you want to win. Even if you are angry, at the end all the players shake hands and are friends.'
The programme then continued with the appearance on stage of our very successful cheer leaders dance groups. Both guests helped in picking the two winners of the values competition project 'Europe's Little People'. The programme finished with a long line of enthusiastic children waiting for the guests' autographs…. And what a line it was!!!!!!!
