What a surprise. I will forward the link to members of the various Slovenian organizations in the United States. I am 100% Slovenian, second generation from the Cleveland, Ohio area.

We have two Slovenian language schools in Cleveland. Both are affiliated with Catholic Schools. St. Mary Church of the Assumption and St. Vitus Church.

Here is a photo I took in Washington DC. The flag was flying from the Willard InterContinental Hotel 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington DC 20004 when Slovenia joined NATO.

The Folklorna Skupina Kres celebrates their 50th anniversary in 2004. The group currently has 160 dancers that range in ages from 5 to 28 years. The Cleveland based Kres has performed in Chicago, New York Canada, Italy and Austria.  
In July of 2004, 20 members will travel to Slovenija to perform in Pivka, Ribnica, Moravci, Beltinci and Zrece. During their 10 day tour, the  dancers will take the opportunity to visit Smarna Gora, Skocjanske Jame, Predjamski Grad, Zrece, Toplice, Brezje, Ljubljanski Grad, Bled, Piran, Koper, Portroz and gostilna Avsenik's.
The group is especially excited about performing in Beltinci for the Folore festival.
