- BETWEEN FAIRY TALE AND REALITY |
|
| Once upon a time, three sisters,
the Drava, Sava and Soca rivers - decided to hold a competition to see
who would be first to reach the sea. The evening before the race, the Drava
made careful preparations. Early the next morning she got up and set off
quietly so as not to wake her sleeping sisters. When the Sava woke up and
saw that the Drava had already gone, she quickly ran after her. The Soca
was only called from her bed by the rays of the late morning sun. She jumped
up and raced off by the nearest route across the mountains and reached
the sea first.
