LEARNING WITH NATURE Look
through the window! You will see at least one chimney. There are thousands
of them in the city and each of them greys your houses and slowly shortens
your life. It
seams as if the chimneys are of no concern of ours; it seams as if driving
fast with our cars if more important than fresh air; it seams as if we are
waiting for a miracle when the wild garbage dump next to the stream will
disappear. But it is true that learning is actually searching and
imitating examples. That is why we must all try with each step and know
that we live in a simple community that tries to leave our future
generations a little piece of nature, clean air and fewer wild garbage
dumps. In school, where we spend most of our time, we must be aware of this even more. Learning with nature and about it must have an important chapter in the education of our children, in our everyday life. Every our action in behalf of nature will be the guarantee of a better and healthier life in the future. That is why we must be alert of how much unnecessary water we use every day, how much needless plastic bags we brought home this week, and if it wouldn’t be good to leave our car home in the garage, and if we found a spot where we’ll keep our waist paper. Maybe it wouldn’t be wrong to think how much garbage we contribute every day to the dump yard. All this kind of conversations at school or at home should become our every day activity. And the coming generations will remember us with respect we try to make their lives better. Karolina
